Dishwashing sales remained low in Uzbekistan in 2013. Sales were distributed across the country unevenly: sales were limited to the most urban areas, where consumption was close to saturation, whilst in rural areas due to poor development of sewage/water supply and high prices for dishwashing products, sales remained negligible. There were no promotional marketing campaigns which would contribute to the growth of sales. This kept sales underdeveloped, especially considering the strong consumer potential.

There were no changes in competitive landscape of dishwashing in 2013. Sales continue to be clustered around the three major companies, which hold half of total retail sales. Procter & Gamble led sales with 26% value share. Its Fairy brand continues enjoying strong popularity which continued from the review period. Unilever Group, with Sunlight (8%) and Cif (5%) brands, held the second position with 13% value share. Nefis Cosmetics was the third major company with the second most popular brand, Kaplya Sorti (9%), and low profile AOS (3%).

Dishwashing is not forecasted to see strong constant value growth over the forecast period. This is because dishwashing will remain underdeveloped in rural areas and not many consumers see its very strong potential. City dwellers instead will continue using dishwashing products on a regular basis and this will be the main force to drive sales.
