Founded by a Russian-American couple, this matchmaking business invests in love abroad. Anastasia International introduces American men to Russian women.
[USPRwire, Thu Dec 29 2005] Marriages are meant to stand the test of time, and Anastasia International builds its Russian and American matchmaking services around this ideal.
The recognized industry leader has assisted thousands of American men to find Russian brides through www.AnastasiaWeb.com, and organizes romance tours abroad.
Since 1993, the family-run company has built its reputation by providing a secure, personal and professional matchmaking experience for the men and ladies involved.
According to company spokesperson, Dan Sykes, the company was founded by a Russian-American couple who met through a matchmaking service in 1992 and later married. It now employs 89 people, the majority based out of satellite offices in Russia, with a U.S. headquarters in Bangor, Maine.
"Even from its beginnings, this business was based on love," Sykes said. "We help bridge cultural and language barriers, and bring together individuals looking for partners in life."
The company also aims to provide a safe experience for all involved.
Each of the more than 20,000 ladies featured -- either on www.AnastasiaWeb.com, or in the catalogues and videos offered by the company -- has been verified at one of 450 Russian agencies, and has undergone a background check, according to Sykes. Their addresses, sold to possible suitors via Anastasia for correspondence, are guaranteed authentic as well.
The identity of the male suitors also is verified to offer a degree of protection to the ladies, Sykes said.
AnastasiaWeb.com offers a virtual matchmaking community. In addition to a database of Russian ladies, American men can create profiles. The site offers internal email, along with translating services.
In addition to the Web site database, Anastasia also organizes romance tours to Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia, and Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, and Odessa in the Ukraine. American men and Russian women attend social events during the romance tours, where they can meet in person, talk with the help of an interpreter (as needed), and build their relationship.
"Anastasia is a proud member of the American Society of Travel Agents and the Central and Eastern Europe Travel Board, and our romance tours have long been recognized as the benchmark by which other tour companies are measured," Sykes said. "Our reputation for honesty and integrity has been the key to our success, which is why half of our clients come to us by word of mouth alone."
Anastasia's Russian management has seven years of experience working as a team. The company's tour guides have an average of 12 years experience in the travel industry and their interpreters have an average of four years experience working in the matchmaking industry.
Anastasia conducts 19 tours a year to Russia and the Ukraine, spending an average 110 days in Russia and the Ukraine every year.
"Eighty percent of the ladies from our database have attended our tour socials and met with our Russian-American staff," said Sykes. "We have not received these ladies' photos through the mail. The ladies have actually brought us their photos. We've seen these ladies in person, and we were able to verify that all of them are single, available and seriously interested in finding a partner."
According to www.AnastasiaWeb.com, between 50 and 70 percent of the men who participate in their romance tours become engaged or married, after meeting the love of their life on that trip.
Anastasia also assists members in the process of ordering a K-1 Fiancee Visa.
