Fast Market Research recommends "Wipes in Estonia" from Euromonitor International, now available

[USPRwire, Wed Aug 27 2014] The improving economic situation in Estonia allowed consumers to spend more in categories which were seen of lower necessity or luxury during the recession years. Wipes in general are not very popular in Estonia because their price is relatively high and they are easily replaceable with lower-cost alternatives. However, these products are considered very convenient and as the disposable incomes of people were on the rise, quality and convenience were often chosen over price.

Competitive Landscape

Johnson & Johnson leads sales in 2013 with a value share of 28%. The company manages its Johnson's Baby and Carefree brands which are both well-known and trusted by the local consumers. Procter & Gamble followed with a value share of 19% as its Pampers brand is another strong player within wipes. The third in the competition, just like the previously mentioned, is another baby wipes producer - SCA Hygiene Products, which offers the Libero brand and had an 11% share in value sales of 2013. These three companies are mostly known for their brands in nappies/diapers/pants and have managed to take their success to other baby care categories as well.

Industry Prospects

Wipes value sales are expected to see growth over the forecast period as the rising consumer purchasing power allows them to spend more in categories that were considered of low necessity during the recession. The biggest driver of the category is likely to continue to be baby wipes as it is the biggest category in value and volume terms and is also used for adult hygiene and different tasks around the household.
