Special evening celebrates One Thousand Ocean as ‘art’

Boca Raton has always been a home for style. One Thousand Ocean has truly raised the bar; the architecture alone is worth its weight in art,” says Karen Lynne Asher of the Karen Lynne Gallery in Boca Raton, Florida.

[USPRwire, Thu Apr 30 2009] As One Thousand Ocean continues along its path toward completion, many admirers of LXR Luxury Resorts’ signature oceanfront condominium are calling its classic, contemporary architecture a work of art. Karen Lynne Asher of the Karen Lynne Gallery in Boca Raton went so far as to state, “Boca Raton has always been a home for style. One Thousand Ocean has truly raised the bar; the architecture alone is worth its weight in art.”

After touring One Thousand Ocean with Jamie Telchin, LXR’s president of development, Asher and Telchin decided to co-host an elegant evening event that was held recently at the One Thousand Ocean sales & design center.

For the occasion, the walls of the model residence at the sales & design center were adorned with original contemporary artwork, providing a sampling of the many exquisite works found at the Karen Lynne Gallery. Asher collaborated on the art selections with interior, furniture and fabric designer Nancy Corzine, who had furnished the stunning One Thousand Ocean model residence.

“The artwork was created by a range of contemporary artists,” noted Asher, who has been representing the brightest contemporary talent for more than 20 years. Her gallery holds the honor of being the sole delegation representing the U.S. in the prestigious Societe Nationale Des Beaux Arts juried exhibit at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. It was also named “Best Art Gallery” by Gold Coast and Boca Life magazines in their “Best of South Florida 2009” competition.

More than 130 guests were greeted with champagne and hors d’oeuvres from the Boca Raton Resort & Club (another LXR property). In addition, they enjoyed live music as they toured the model residence. “Nancy’s sophisticated, cosmopolitan aesthetic, as well as the fabulous artwork showcased during this event, are a perfect match for One Thousand Ocean,” Telchin said.

“By all accounts, our guests at this by-invitation-only evening gave One Thousand Ocean rave reviews,” noted Telchin after he spoke with a number of interested parties who had taken hard-hard tours of the building as the reception carried on. “For us, it was a wonderful opportunity for guests to see that One Thousand Ocean establishes a new standard in both artistic expression and luxury oceanfront living.”

The ambiance was carried over to Chop’s Lobster Bar in nearby downtown Boca Raton for a special dinner, after which many guests strolled next door to the Karen Lynne Gallery for after-dinner drinks and enough art to satisfy any enthusiast’s appetite.

One Thousand Ocean is situated on a private peninsula bordering the most coveted inlet in South Florida. Surrounded on three sides by water (the ocean and Intracoastal), it is slated for completion by the end of 2009. Residences harmoniously blend with one- and two-story beach villas and penthouses. Residences average 4,000 square feet, with terraces averaging just under 1,200 square feet. Floor plans are enhanced with natural light through floor-to-ceiling glass. Also included are private elevator landings, fireplaces and two-car garages. Prices start at approximately $2.75 million to over $15 million.

“The understated elegance and remarkable artistic precision of this building will be carried over to its public spaces as well,” Telchin concluded.
