Kairos Development recently developed Jefferson Station at the Buggy Works, a newly renovated, 70,000 square feet, authentic loft office building located in historic East Point near Cleveland Drive.

“This is a very exciting initiative,” said Velda Simpson, Director of Property Management. “We have contributed financially toward these efforts and are assisting with the efforts to raise the additional funding to complete the process. We are proud of this community and want to see it prosper.”

A CID is a self-taxing group of property owners working together to promote business and community development through community improvements in partnership with government officials, business professionals and members of the surrounding community. A CID uses non-residential property tax dollars to fund initiatives such as community clean up, safety and security enhancements, and infrastructure and transportation improvements. By investing in the community, property values increase and the area transforms into a more desirable place to live, work and visit.

A CID is created with written consent obtained from the majority of the non-residential property owners representing 75 percent of the value of properties within the proposed district. The proposed CID is located the cities of East Point and Atlanta along Cleveland Avenue from Downtown East Point to east of I-75.
