Redmond Represents Citizens’ Facility Advisory Committee To Deliver Annual Report

Redmond will speak under the subject of “Plowing New Ground,” delivering a report on the behalf of the Citizens’ Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC), of which she has served as co-chairman of since its inception in June 2006. Other scheduled speakers for this year’s event include Ted Abernathy of the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, WCPSS Superintendent Dr. Del Burns, and Tony Gurley of the Wake County Board of Commissioners, among many others. Formed in June 2006, the Citizens’ Facilities Advisory Committee is charged with evaluating the Wake County Public School System capital improvement program and evaluating school design criteria, construction management and delivery methods. The Board of Commissioners and the Board of Education appointed 13 individuals to serve as members of the committee.
