Ascot Realty donated toys to the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter at Christmas, continuing the company’s year-round commitment to the nonprofit organization.

During the Christmas season, each agent at Ascot Realty’s 15 communities in Gwinnett, Barrow and DeKalb counties drew the names of fellow agents. During the name swap, agents bought toys that reminded them of their fellow coworkers. After unwrapping the gifts, the agents then donated the toys back to the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, which serves up to 500 youth a year through programs such as therapeutic foster homes, parenting classes and counseling services.

“The Gwinnett Children’s Shelter holds a special place in the heart of Ascot Realty,” said Cindy Drooker, president and broker at Ascot Realty. “Anytime we can help this organization, we’re happy to provide a hand. The Gwinnett Children’s Shelter is nonprofit, and it needs all the help it can receive from the business community, individuals and faith-based organizations.”

In addition to providing toys to the shelter during the holidays, Ascot has also given backpacks full of school supplies to the organization and donated funds to replace the shelter roof in the past.
