Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® To Present Fourth Study of Radio P1 Listeners at CRS-40



[USPRwire, Tue Nov 18 2008] Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® will present findings from "The Largest Study Ever of Country P1 Listeners 2009" at the 40th anniversary of Country Radio Seminar®, held March 4 - 6, 2009.

"In these times of 'change,' it is an opportune moment to see what has changed in the world of Country Radio listeners," said President of Edison Media Research Larry Rosin. "We are thrilled to be reprising this ongoing research and to find out what's on the mind of Country Radio's most important users, the P1s, at the beginning of 2009."

This is the fourth year an extensive P1 study will be conducted by Edison Media Research and presented at CRS. The last study, conducted in 2007, surveyed more than 20,000 country music fans across the country to determine trends in the format and listenership patterns across various demographics. Among other results, it was determined that 83 percent of respondents were listening to more Country on the radio than they were the previous year in 2006.

"In these economically challenging times, I am glad that Country Radio Broadcasters is able to fund research that benefits the Country Radio and Music industries and make it available to all without cost," said CRB Executive Director Ed Salamon.

The details of this year's updated survey have yet to be released, though Rosin notes that past country radio listener studies have focused on a broad variety interests, including radio, media, technology, and artist profiles.
