At November's IAAPA trade show in Las Vegas, the French Economic Mission of Atlanta is hosting a French Pavilion to showcase several manufacturers and developers of products and services for the amusement park industry.

This marks the second time a delegation from France has exhibited together at IAAPA. The French Pavilion will represent various areas of the industry at the show including attractions, décor, and equipment at booths 714 to 924 in the Las Vegas Convention Center from Nov. 16 to 20, 2009.

In the last decade the number of theme parks in Europe has increased by a third, to 83 established parks, according to Economics Research Associates, which tracks the industry, while the number of admissions has risen two-thirds, to 101 million, and revenues doubled, to $2.2 billion. Last year, Europe's 83 parks averaged about 1.2 million visitors each, far fewer than the 2 million that packed into each of America's 226 parks.
