CEO of Cincinnati based Leadership Development Firm Speaks at Paul Quinn College
Mary Hladio of Ember Carriers Inc. in Cincinnati donates time to student leadership group
[USPRwire, Fri Aug 20 2010] African American business owner Mary Hladio is the founder and CEO of an organization and leadership development firm, Ember Carriers Inc. Hladio has donated a two-day workshop to the student leadership team of Paul Quinn College (PQC) in Dallas, Texas. She will be on campus at the historically black college August 23rd and 24th.
As a seasoned consultant and workplace expert with a degree from Western Illinois University, Hladio will impart a little knowledge from her more than 15 years of experience in the world of business to the PQC students. The workshop will include discussion about what it means to be a student leader at PQC, highlighting insights to communication styles, teamwork, and planning for the future.
“I hope I can provide a little something extra to help these young, burgeoning leaders become confident Ember Carriers in all of their career endeavors,” Hladio said.
As they were for ancient tribal peoples, “ember carriers” are the entrusted leaders who keep the embers of hope, inspiration and success alive within themselves and in their teams.
“Successful African American professional leaders, like Mary Hladio, who are willing to share their knowledge with a younger generation, are the best modern day role models for our students,” president of Paul Quinn College Michael Sorell Esq. said.
The free two-day workshop beginning August 23rd is offered to PQC students only. Registration is currently full.
