World Trade Center Los Angeles/Long Beach (WTCA) and the Los Angles County Economic Development Corporation have chosen MAYO Communications as its agency of record for 2007-2008. The nonprofit organization first hired MAYO during the 10-day lockout of the LA/LB Longshoreman's dispute, for an economic impact media campaign, which earned MAYO the prestigious "Best Media Placement " Prism Award by Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The lockout cost the country $5 billion.

"MAYO brings a world of experience and difference in managing our media," said Chief Economist and Senior Vice President Jack Kyser. The LAEDC is relied upon by media, government and private industry for economic research and consulting. Published reports include the semi-annual Economic Forecast, which was ranked #1 by The Wall Street Journal and was awarded by the American Economic Development Council. Kyser has led the research team in producing the Economic Forecast and Industry Outlook for 10 years.

As the region's premier business leadership organization, the LAEDC's mission is to attract, retain and grow business and jobs in the regions of Los Angeles County, as well as to identify trends and affect positive change for the local economy.
