Ragsdale Liggett PLLC Attorney To Serve On Pro Bono/Public Service Committee
[USPRwire, Sat Apr 04 2009] Ragsdale Liggett PLLC (www.rl-law.com) has announced that Ashley Huffstetler Campbell, attorney at the firm, has been appointed by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) Law Alumni Association board of directors to serve on its Student Services Committee as a member of the Pro Bono/Public Service subcommittee. As a member of the subcommittee, Campbell will work with fellow UNC-CH School of Law alumni to increase alumni awareness and involvement in the School of Law’s public interest programs and pro bono efforts. The subcommittee is dedicated to connecting students and alumni in this initiative.
As an attorney at Ragsdale Liggett, Campbell practices in the areas of civil litigation and legislative and executive representation. Prior to joining Ragsdale Liggett, she was an attorney for Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc., where she provided legal services to low-income residents in Gaston, Cleveland and Lincoln counties. Campbell continues her work with Legal Aid by volunteering with Project Together, which partners attorneys in private practice with victims of domestic violence for purposes of obtaining a domestic violence protective order.
In 2008, Campbell was recognized with Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Leadership Award which selects recipients based on leadership skills, substantial community involvement and significant career milestones. She was also awarded the 2008 Pro Bono Impact Award by Business Leader Media along with 23 other prominent Triangle attorneys, each recognized for making an impact through their pro bono work in North Carolina.
