Jeff Davis, president of JDavis Architects, PLLC (www.jdavisarchitects.com), a full-service architecture, landscape architecture and interior design firm, has announced that Andy Osterlund, an architect in the Raleigh office, has received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The LEED Green Building System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.

Osterlund earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and has ten years of architecture experience. A native of Fridley, Minn., he currently resides in Raleigh with his wife, Kristen, and son, August.
