HEIFER INTERNATIONAL SELECTED AS BENEFICIARY FOR KindredSPIRITSí 2009 HUMANITARIAN AID CONCERT

In a rare, inter-faith musical event, the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony and the invited Church Gospel Choir will perform at the Disney Concert Hall on June 7th, 2009 as KindredSPIRITS Live. The concert and fund-raiser, produced by the humanitarian organization, KindredSPIRITS, will benefit Heifer International, a global non-profit organization dedicated to earth-friendly, sustainable development.

Cantor Ilan Davidson, KindredSPIRITS Executive Director and featured performer says of the selection, "Each year we choose a beneficiary who represents the values of kindred spirits, joining together to heal the world. Heifer [International] embodies these values at the highest level. In Heiferís work, volunteers, donors, employees and project participants worldwide, join together to help provide sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty. They empower those who receive their gifts of livestock and values-based education to then become donors themselves, giving back to other families in their own communities."

In addition to the LA Jewish Symphony and the KindredSPIRITS invited Gospel Choir, the concert will feature noted cantors and artists, Ilan Davidson, tenor, Ron Li-Paz, baritone, and Ilysia Pierce, soprano, in a concert of world music celebrating unity and peace. Special guest celebrities will introduce the music and KindredSPIRITSí beneficiary for this year, Heifer International, highlighting the inspirational stories of communities and families whose lives have been touched by Heifer gifts.

This event is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased through the KindredSPIRITS website at kindredspiritslive.org or directly through TicketMaster commencing April 17th, 2009. VIP seating and corporate sponsorship opportunities for this event are also available through the KindredSPIRITS website.

Through livestock, training, and "passing on the gift," Heifer has helped seven million families in more than 125 countries improve their quality of life and move toward greater self-reliance. Heifer helps build strong communities because each project participant agrees to pass on the gift of animal offspring, training or skills to another family in need.
