REDUCE VACUUM PUMP NOISE IN THE LAB WITH ENCLOSURES FROM M.S. NOISE: COMING TO PITTCON IN MARCH

Laboratories are often annoyingly noisy due to vacuum pump.

[USPRwire, Wed Jan 20 2010] Laboratories are often annoyingly noisy due to vacuum pump. Vacuum pumps (rotary, scroll) are typically required to maintain a vacuum on many lab devices (such as Mass Specs, SEM). This noise makes working conditions around equipments uncomfortable and tiring for anyone who works in the lab. Vacuum Pump Enclosures by MS Noise can reduce this noise in half, by up to 12 decibels. The company offers a wide range of enclosures that fit virtually all vacuum pumps.

MS Noise's vacuum pumps consist of two main parts: a base and a cover. Installation is very easy and is achieved without tools or disconnecting the vacuum pump. There is convenient access for system checks and maintenance. Some models have a side window to check oil levels, and a side trap door for access to the screw ballast. Enclosures are ventilated by special fans with total air flow above 200 cubic meters per hour. Fans have long-lasting ball bearing mounts, which guarantee quiet operation, and an over-temperature buzzer alarm is available with battery back-up.

Enclosures are built for installation on the floor or below benches, thus precious space is not wasted. And they can also accommodate mist filters.

An optional oil pan made of stainless steel is available. This oil pan is equipped with four vibration absorbing castor wheels, in order to be able to move pump and box easily. Pump oil can be drained without having to dismantle the enclosure.

MS Noise is exhibiting at PITTCON in Orlando from March 1 to 4, 2010, at booth 3415.
