This annual meeting will deliver the latest information to attendees about the evolving clinical data management function, as well as provide opportunities to meet and network with colleagues in the industry.

This year’s CDM conference will feature a Keynote Address and FDA Update Plenary Session on the first morning. The conference will run on four parallel tracks – Data, Strategy, eClinical Technology, and Electronic Health Records and Health Informatics – in order to address the overall clinical development environment and the dynamic role of the data manager.

On Tuesday, March 20th, at 8:30 am, during the Track 1- Standards and Data session, ‘The Case for Standards from Startup through Submission’, Dan Crawford, director of Clinical Data Strategies at Octagon, will be hosting a presentation entitled; ‘Creating Submission-compliant Summary Databases (ISS/ISE) in the CDISC SDTM Format’, which will address the value of the CDISC SDTM for preparing summary databases. Standards for data interchange have been shown to bring substantial value to the clinical development process in terms of cost and time savings, especially when they are implemented in the start-up stage. In addition, these standards streamline the integration of data into knowledge warehouses for the purpose of integrated safety and efficacy summaries for regulatory agencies.

Octagon will also be unveiling its latest offering, Data JumpStart.
