Design Cinema Privée comes to Minnesota, brings expertise from across the country
Design Cinema designs and builds ultra-high-end home theaters that bring the powerful, emotional experience of a movie theater into the comfort of your own home.
[USPRwire, Wed Jan 04 2006] When Marc Ye opened the Minnesota branch of Design Cinema Privée, he did so with the support of a nationwide team of expert designers and builders, headed by industry leader Dennis Erskine.
Design Cinema designs and builds ultra-high-end home theaters that bring the powerful, emotional experience of a movie theater into the comfort of your own home. But Design Cinema’s home theaters aren’t just a big, flat-screen television in a room with fancy speakers. Design Cinema provides a getaway – a comfortable, private, acoustically treated theater that will transport you anywhere your favorite movie wants to go.
“It’s one thing to have great technology and a professional setup,” Ye said, “but it’s a whole different ball game when you literally start from scratch and build toward a magical experience.”
Ye says his strategy is to design and build a room from the ground up, with only the highest-quality audio and video experience in mind. Design Cinema designs and builds the room, installs the appropriate acoustic treatments, and sets up all the technology – DVD player, speakers, lights, curtains, everything – to operate from a single, easy-to-use touch-screen remote control.
Ye, the president of Design Cinema’s Minneapolis office, has a degree in electrical engineering as well as certifications from the Home Acoustics Alliance and the Imaging Science Foundation certifications. Combine those credentials with Erskine’s years of experience in designing, building and teaching, and Design Cinema brings a powerful package to home theater fanatics throughout the Midwest. With Ye and Design Cinema at the helm of your home theater project, all you have to worry about is what to watch.
“We treat the design of the room as the most important aspect of the process – more important than the choice of cables, speakers or amplifiers,” Ye said. “We provide the best acoustic experience you can get, but we don’t sacrifice science for aesthetics.”
