Canvas Systems Donates 750 NEW Bicycles to Toys for Tots!

There will be smiles on the faces of 750 children in the Atlanta, GA area thanks to the efforts of Canvas Systems.

[USPRwire, Sat Dec 19 2009] Canvas Systems announced that they have donated 750 new bicycles and 400 new helmets to the Atlanta Toys for Tots campaign.

“We would like to help make a difference in the lives of 750 children this holiday season,” said Mark Metz, co-founding partner and chief executive officer of Canvas Systems. “These are tough times, and we want to do our part to help families in the area. Bikes and kids go together. If we all combine our efforts we can help the wishes of 750 kids come true.”

Last year, instead of sending corporate holiday gifts to customers, Canvas Systems donated $15,000 worth of toys to Toys for Tots. Prior to heading into work on an early morning in Nov. 2008, over 150 Canvas Systems employees gathered at a local Toys R Us for a shopping spree, filling their carts high with footballs, basketballs and dolls for all the children.

“This year with a little help from our vendors and partners we really raised the bar and doubled our efforts. We not only gave twice as much this year, but we also had all of our employees meet early one evening, assemble the bicycles, load them on three trucks and deliver them to Toys for Tots,” Metz explained.

“I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate what Canvas is doing with this donation to Toys for Tots. I’d rather be a customer of a company who cares about their community, than a company who sends me gifts and marketing materials all the time,” was just one of hundreds of responses the company received from a customer after seeing a holiday video made by Canvass Systems.

“We are asking other companies this year to reach out and help the lives of others who are not as fortunate. There are many companies who have the means to donate.
