ULI Atlanta to Host Its Inaugural Golf Tournament

Tournament at the Atlanta Country Club to raise funds for ULI Atlanta

[USPRwire, Mon Sep 15 2008] To raise awareness and funds for ULI Atlanta's education and outreach efforts, ULI Atlanta is hosting the 2008 ULI Atlanta Annual Golf Tournament, Monday, October 20, 2008 at the Atlanta Country Club. ULI Atlanta is nonprofit research and education group whose mission is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities.

“The goal of our inaugural golf tournament is to raise $30,000 to help support ULI Atlanta's three focus areas of sustainability, work force housing and infrastructure,” said Jeff DuFresne, Executive Director of ULI Atlanta. “The tournament will provide a fun way for professionals in the industry to network with each other, enjoy at a great day of golf and raise money for ULI Atlanta's education and community outreach programs such as Community Action Grants, public sector outreach, smart growth and sustainability initiatives, the Technical Assistance Panel, Urban Marketplace, UrbanPlan and workforce and affordable housing initiatives.”

Players will compete in a four person scramble with team awards given to the low gross and net winners. The tournament is a members and sponsors only event. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., play will last from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and a post tournament awards reception will conclude the day at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The registration fee includes one four caddy per foursome, lunch and beverages on the course, and use of the practice range and putting green. Players will also receive an exclusive welcome gift and a team photo. Mulligans are available for $25 and include one raffle ticket and one mulligan. Besides the team awards for low gross and net, individual prizes for long drive, closest to the pin and hole in one will be awarded.
