Trammell Crow Company and Russell New Urban Development Announce Winner of Contest for Condo at Hist
The winner of the condo at Historic Westside Village in Atlanta was recently announced. Rae Oglesby submitted the winning tag line for the community which relayed the essence of what Historic Westside Village is all about - "Where Convenience and Community Connect."
[USPRwire, Tue Dec 04 2007] Joint venture development partners, Trammell Crow Company and Russell New Urban Development, recently announced the winner of the tagline contest for Historic Westside Village. The Development team was looking for unique taglines for their new Grand Opening ad campaign announcing The Washington at Historic Westside Village, and was relying on residents around the metro Atlanta area to showcase their creativity. The grand prize winner of the contest was to receive a free condo at The Washington for one year. The tagline submitted by Rae Oglesby, an Atlanta resident, was chosen as the top tagline, and Oglesby recently moved into her free condo at The Washington which she will live in for an entire year.
Oglesby submitted a tagline that seemed to truly relay the essence of what Historic Westside Village is all about – “Where Convenience and Community Connect.” The response to the tagline contest was overwhelming, but out of the hundreds of submissions, Oglesby’s seemed to be the perfect fit.
“I found out about Historic Westside Village on the Atlanta Development Authority Web site, and when it linked me to Historic Westside Village’s site, I read about the contest,” said Oglesby. “Honestly, once I had a better understanding of what the community was and where it was located, I immediately thought of the tagline – ‘Where Convenience and Community Connect’ – it just seemed to be a great fit for the community.”
Oglesby is a writer for CNN Newsource in Atlanta, and has lived in Atlanta for three years. Prior to her move to Atlanta, she worked as a news producer in Charleston, SC. Oglesby moved into her free condo the first of November, and so far her favorite thing about her new home is the location – its convenient to all major interstates and her job at CNN.
The first phase of the mixed-use community will offer 150 one- and two-bedroom condominiums. Condo prices range from $140,000 to $230,000, making them the most competitively priced condos under construction in the intown Atlanta market.
