Team Worldwide Building to Be Sold at Auction

The Team Worldwide headquarters in Winnsboro, Texas, will be sold at auction on February 27, 2008. Team Worldwide will be moving to their business location across town.

[USPRwire, Fri Dec 14 2007] One of the most recognized buildings in Winnsboro, the “Star” building that presently houses the Team Worldwide headquarters, will be sold at auction on February 27th, 2008. Team Worldwide, one of the largest employers in the area, is in the process of erecting a new building on their main business campus across town. Team Worldwide was founded by entrepreneur Joe Brunson in 1979 and has grown from a domestic company to an international transportation and logistics company with offices worldwide. It is built on the spirit of entrepreneurship and grew into a multi-million dollar company by connecting individuals in cities throughout the country and world.

Joe Brunson is known not only as a businessman, but as a philanthropist. In 1994, he was elected “Man of the Year” by the local community. In 2005, he opened the Team Family Foundation, a 501(C)3 company which provides outreach work and assistance to underprivileged people. Due to the international success of Team Worldwide, this beautiful facility in a small town atmosphere is available for auction. “This is a highly desirable property to auction,” said Jerry Floyd, Auctioneer and CAGA Certified Appraiser with Prime Equipment and Auctions. “It is rare to have such an opportunity as this. It isn’t the square footage that makes this an extraordinary place. You can find this square footage in any major city in the United States. What is special about this place is the quality of life it offers to a business and its employees.”

The facility, located between I-20 and I-30, sits on approximately 12 acres of land and includes a stocked pond. Of the 52,686 square feet, all footage is heated and over 10,000 is cooled. With over 7,000 square feet of office space, the facility is ideal for growth in a competitive marketplace. The manufacturing and warehousing space comes with five (5) overhead doors with four (4) that are dock height, sprinklers, metal halide lighting, seven (7) overhead gas heaters, five (5) exhaust fans, and numerous other assets.

Winnsboro, Texas, often called a “Fishin’ Paradise” and the “Christmas Tree Capital of Texas,” has a town population of approximately 3,800 and 32,500 in the surrounding twelve (12) mile radius. Nearby lakes include Lake Fork, the “best bass fishing in the Lone Star State;” Lake Monticello, with the “biggest bass in Texas;” Lake Cypress Springs, the “cleanest lake in Texas;” and Lake Bob Sandlin, which has a campground and commercial marina. According to the town website, “Winnsboro celebrates every season that comes its way with hospitality, warmth, and kindness. The people of this town and even the visitors take part in supporting and promoting its many activities for every season.”

“The quality of life offered by this town, and by the scenic 12 acres on which the building sits, is just unsurpassable,” Floyd said. “Joe Brunson has set a wonderful personal standard and has developed an excellent atmosphere for any incoming business. One thing is for sure – if the incoming business has any large transportation needs, they will be easily accommodated, as Team Worldwide is just a few miles away.”

Jerry Floyd of Prime Equipment and Auction Company has years of experience in appraisals and liquidations and has held his auctioneer license since 2004. He has had about five years of experience working with Wal-Mart in liquidating their bakery and meat market equipment during the late nineties to 2003. He has worked with companies such as Target, Pizza Hut, Brinker, WholeFoods helping with their liquidation needs. Auctioneering was a logical step toward expanding his liquidation services. Prime Equipment in conjunction with Auction USA Real Estate LLC will auction the Winnsboro property on February 27, 2008, at 11:00 AM CST.
