AGENTS ENJOY “AN EVENING IN NEW YORK” WITH BOWEN FAMILY HOMES

More than 400 co-op REALTORS® and guests attended Atlanta new home builder, Bowen Family Homes' Annual Casino Night and Agent Appreciation Party at the Gwinnett Center.

[USPRwire, Wed Mar 07 2007] More than 400 co-op REALTORS® and guests attended a fabulous evening in “New York”, a.k.a. the Gwinnett Center, for Bowen Family Homes’ Annual Casino Night and Agent Appreciation Party on February 2, 2007. The evening included the giveaway of 13 three-night New York getaways for two to the Marriott Marquis overlooking Times Square. Ten trips were awarded to the 2006 top-selling co-op agents for Bowen Family Homes, and an 11th was awarded through a random drawing of attending agents. Two more trips were awarded to Bowen Family Homes’ own top performing sales agents.

“The support of our Atlanta co-op agents is extremely important to our success,” said Tip Cape, Owner of Bowen Family Homes. “In 2006, approximately 815 of our homes closed with a co-op agent. We appreciate everything they do, and this event is just one way that we can show our gratitude.”

The Annual Casino Night and Agent Appreciation Party took place against a New York skyline at night backdrop. The entryway was decorated with a New York street and streetscape, and the silent auction table displayed the Statue of Liberty. Entertainment for the evening included casino games, a New York pub with pool tables, a Jazz Club and live entertainment in the styles of the Rockettes and Frank Sinatra. Agents were given play money according to how many Bowen Family homes they had sold last year and “gambled” at tables for Craps, Roulette and Black Jack. They could also win “money” on horseracing throughout the evening. Afterwards, they spent their winnings at a silent auction and an all new live auction.

The highlight of the evening was the awarding of 13 three-night New York getaways to the Marriott Marquis overlooking Times Square. The hotel features the View, the only revolving rooftop restaurant in New York, and is within walking distance of the Broadway theater district, where winners can enjoy a complimentary show from Bowen. The first 10 winners were the top co-op sellers of Bowen Family homes during 2006. They were: David Grimes of Chapman Hall, nine homes; Tonia Mann of Coldwell Banker, eight homes; Kathy Kim of Re/Max Greater Atlanta, eight homes; Richard Favreau of Solid Source Realty, seven homes; Paul Yi of Virtual

Properties, six homes; Sunny Kim of Re/Max Greater Atlanta, six homes; Kacey Yi of America’s Realty, six homes; Teresa Ho of Chapman Hall, five homes; Katharina Han of Intelli Real Estate, four homes; and Doanh Lee of Synergy Realty, four homes.

Seven agents tied for the 9th and 10th place spots. Doanh Lee and Katharina Han were chosen at random from the tying agents attending the evening. The names of all agents attending the event were entered into a drawing for an 11th giveaway. It went to Reagan Maki-Walters of Global Realty Marketing.
Two of Bowen Family Homes’ own community sales agents also won trips to New York. Tracie Shaw won as the company’s top selling agent with sales volume of $16.8 million and 74 homes closed during 2006. Suzanne Springfield received a trip as the company’s second top sales agent, with 66 homes closed and $15 million sales volume last year. A sales agent for only about one year, Springfield had recently been recognized as the 2006 Homebuilders Association Rookie Salesperson of the Year.

Bowen Family Homes’ first live auction, conducted by Tom Spurlin, made room for more big winners. Allison Gravesande of Keller Williams won a 32-inch Magnavox HDTV with DVD player. Reagan Maki-Walters of Global Realty Marketing won an HP laptop computer. Stacy DeRogatis of Keller Williams was the winner of a “Journey” diamond necklace (retail value $2,100), and Stacy Reagan won a set of Callaway golf clubs.

Bowen Family Homes announced the 2007 agent incentive program, which started January 1, 2007. The company will recognize the top-selling co-op agents for 2007 with trips to Hollywood. All agents who close at least one home during the year will be invited to the 2008 Hollywood-style Casino Night and Agent Appreciation Party.
