Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is partnering with Massage Envy® for the 6th Annual Massage for the Cure® on Tuesday, September 14. Massage for the Cure® is a one-day event presented by Massage Envy® offering one-hour therapeutic massage sessions for $49, with $15 from each massage being donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. 100% of the funds raised will be given to Komen Affiliates to be used for breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs.


[USPRwire, Wed Aug 18 2010] Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is partnering with Massage Envy® for the 6th Annual Massage for the Cure® on Tuesday, September 14.

Massage for the Cure® is a one-day event presented by Massage Envy® offering one-hour therapeutic massage sessions for $49, with $15 from each massage being donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. 100% of the funds raised will be given to Komen Affiliates to be used for breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. For the second year in a row, Massage for the Cure® is a national event, with more than 600 Massage Envy® centers in 42 states participating. Local massage centers will also be providing breast health self exam cards. Since Massage for the Cure®’s inception, Massage Envy® has donated over $1.4 million to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, increase awareness and help find a cure for breast cancer.

“Last year’s first ever national event was an outstanding success, and we are confident this year will be even bigger and better,” said Dani Snyder, area operator for Massage Envy®. “This partnership is important to us, because many of our loyal clients are the same people likely to be affected by breast cancer.”

To make an even greater impact, 18 San Diego locations will also partner with Komen San Diego for the MAKE CHANGE campaign from September 1-14. Massage Envy® members and guests will be encouraged to toss their spare change in pink MAKE CHANGE buckets at each local massage center. Those who participate will receive MAKE CHANGE buttons, bumper stickers and temporary tattoos.
