[USPRwire, Wed Jan 20 2010] On Friday, February 12, 2010, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) along with Binson's Home Health Care of Centerline present the 7th Annual Beating the Odds Gala for MDA, A Casino Royale to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Each year, the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Metro Detroit presents its premier gala - Beating the Odds for MDA. A highlight among Detroit's social events, this night features an evening of cocktails, fine dining, live entertainment, casino style gambling and a silent auction showcasing hundreds of exciting items. It is a one-of-a-kind evening and truly a first-class event raising funds to support the health care services MDA provides to its families in Metro Detroit.

The 7th Annual Beating the Odds Gala will attract over 300 guests and will be held at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester on Friday, February 12, 2010 beginning at 6:00pm. The attire is evening wear with black tie optional. Both corporate and individual tickets are available. The Royal Park Hotel is located at 600 East University Drive, Rochester, MI.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency - a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect more than one million Americans. MDA supports more research on neuromuscular diseases than any other private-sector organized in the world. MDA scientists are at the forefront of gene therapy research and have uncovered the genetic defects responsible for several forms of muscular dystrophy, Charcot-Marie Tooth disease and ALS - more commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease. Comprehensive medical services include clinic visits, medical examinations, flu shots, support groups and summer camps for youngsters ages 6-17 years of age. MDA does not solicit government grants, United Way funding or fees from those it serves; 75 percent of every dollar spent goes directly to research, health care services and education.
