[USPRwire, Tue Apr 06 2010] Tom Wright, Project Manager for Whole Foods Markets Green Mission Project, presented Organic Essence with the Green Packy award at the recently concluded Natural Foods Expo in Anaheim, CA. The Green Packy award recognizes Organic Essence for Responsible Packaging Achievement for the company's compostable Eco-Tube package.

The package, manufactured by Eco-Vision, LLC., (www.eco-vision.com) is made 100% from post-consumer waste paper, soy ink and biodegradable adhesives and coatings. During the presentation to Organic Essence CEO Ellery West, Wright noted, I composted the Eco-Tube package in my back yard and it only required two weeks to fully compost.

Ellery West, CEO of Organic Essence and developer of the Eco-Tube said, We are very pleased to be selected for a Green Packy award. The mission of our sister packaging company, Eco-Vision, LLC is to develop patented, renewable, biodegradable and sustainable fiber-based product container solutions. In the United States, we manufacture our patented, novel packaging for sale to significant consumer product marketers. To do so, we utilize raw materials derived from post-consumer waste and invasive plant species. We license our technology world-wide to responsible organizations committed to sustainable product container solutions.

West and his wife Gail have currently patented 12 product solutions ranging from toothpaste tubes, jars, pumps/sprayers, and bottles to produce baskets. The company projects launching manufacturing operations to produce biodegradable, compostable packaging for a variety of U.S. product marketers in the fourth quarter of 2010. Additionally, the company welcomes international licensing inquiries from responsible manufacturers.
