The plancha was invented in Spain in the 19th century and is still used today in tapas bars. Using the Plancha, everything can be ready in a few minutes. Two powerful gas burners quickly heat up the cooking surface to a maximum of 660°F for any kinds of food. The large 24 x 21-inch surface and quick cook time can produce full meals for 10 people. Without needing to add any fat thanks to the Plancha's non-stick surface, seafood, vegetables, eggs, meat or even fruit can be cooked in a row or at the same time, each retaining its original taste.

Placed on an outdoor table or mounted on a matching trolley also available from ENO (as shown in photos), the Plancha is a great way to cook outdoors. The cast iron plate has a triple-layer of enamel that gives it a non-stick quality and a unique resistance to rust or scratches. Raised edges around the plate prevent food from falling or slipping off while cooking. Its clever design includes a stainless steel trough and receptacle for easy disposal of food scrapings and grease.

The Plancha is built with a safe electronic ignition. Two large gas burners, using butane or propane, each produce 10,200 BTUs to heat the cooking surface to up to 660°F in a few minutes. Both are equipped with security gas-stopping inlet if the flame is extinguished by a draft.
