The Conservation for the Oceans Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to ocean and climate conservation, has today announced the recipients of its Heroes of Conservation Award, which will be presented on June 5 at the United Nations in New York.

The Heroes of Conservation award is presented annually by the Conservation for the Oceans Foundation to those who have excelled in the areas of conservation, field research, and community outreach. The award recipients share a common focus on the global challenges affecting the future sustainability of our natural resources as well as the importance of educating and inspiring the community, at all levels of society, about how our combined efforts can help save the planet and ourselves.

This year’s hero recipients include:
Land: Jim Fowler, Host, Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom
Water: Robert Stewart, Producer, Sharkwater
Climate: Father Paul Mayer, Cofounder, Climate Crisis Coalition
Youth: Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin
