After the successful inaugural event in August of 2006 (see www.commanderbond.net forums for photos and reviews), Dare To Be Bond returns to Las Vegas to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the James Bond Film, “The Spy Who Loved Me”. This year, taking a scene from that film, the event is headquartered at Las Vegas’ own “Egypt,” The Luxor Las Vegas. This event is for casual fans, hardcore fans, and anyone else that wants to have fun!
Highlights of this year’s Dare To Be Bond themed adventure weekend include a full debriefing, "medical" certification, weapons recertification, gaming refresher course, connissourial edification, water recertification, optional lazer tag event, optional Dare To Be Bond Grand Prix Race, and the “Dine in Egypt” Gala Annual Agent Appreciation Dinner honoring the 30th Anniversary of The Spy Who Loved Me. Registrants flying into Las Vegas on the July 19, 2007 and departing on July 22, 2007, and staying at the Luxor Las Vegas also receive complimentary escorted roundtrip transportation between the airport and The Luxor Las Vegas (according to last year’s attendees – something you shouldn’t miss!).
Registration deadline is June 30, 2007 and is capacity controlled. No late registrations will be accepted, and there is a maximum of 100 attendees. Now through March 15, 2007 Early bird registration is $325. After March 15, 2007 this increases to the full registration price of $350. Also, now through February 28, 2007, book your hotel room for the event at the Luxor and register for Dare To Be Bond and your confirmation number is valid for an additional $25 off per registration per room (one $25 discount per room reservation - see www.daretobebond.com for complete details). There is also a $100 deposit option for registrations now through March 15, 2007, with the balance due May 1, 2007. Dare To Be Bond is a not-for-profit event being produced by Los Angeles based Bond fan Charles Axworthy. Axworthy, a 30+ year fan of Bond and a staff member of the UK fan based website CommanderBond.net. Dare to Be Bond brings the “Bond Experience” to both the hard core and casual fans alike.
