TV PERSONALITY TIM LUKE TO BE FEATURED AT THE VERO BEACH MUSEUM OF ART ANNUAL ANTIQUE SHOW AND SALE
Luke will present a special series of programs for both museum members and the public during the three day Vero Beach Museum of Art Antique Show and Sale
[USPRwire, Tue Nov 27 2007] The Vero Beach Museum of Art has announced that their 16th Annual Antiques Show and Sale will be held on January 11, 12, and 13, 2008.
The show is hosted by The Friends of the Vero Beach Museum of Art and is considered one of Florida’s most celebrated and enduring displays of antiques with a reputation for quality and variety that attracts antique lovers and collectors from around the Southeast and beyond. Show Manager Charlie Miller reports that 37 dealers of international acclaim will present 18th and 19th century Americana including furniture, jewelry, art, glassware, porcelains and collectibles in room settings throughout the Museum.
Special Guest will be Tim Luke, ISA AM. Luke is host of WPTV 5, West Palm Beach, FL, host of HGTV’s Cash in the Attic, former Director of Collectibles at Christie’s and President of TreasureQuest Appraisal Group, Inc., Hobe Sound, FL. He will present a variety of programs beginning January 11 with “What’s it Worth?” from 5-7 pm for Museum members; on January 12 at 11 am and 3 pm “The Art of Collecting” and 1 pm “The Art of Auction”, both open to the public; January 13 1 PM, “The Art of Auction” and 3 PM, “The Art of Collecting”, also open to the public. Special features will include appraisals by Charlie Miller on January 11 & 12 from 12-3 pm and on January 13 from 12-2 pm. There is a 3 item maximum and the cost is $10 per item. There will be an Antique Car Display on January 12 from 10 am–5 pm and on January 13 from 12 noon to 4 pm and is free for show attendees.
A Patron Champagne Reception including preview will be held on January 10 from 5-9 pm, $150. A Preview Only Party will be held on January 10 from 6-9 pm, $100. For reservations, phone (772) 231-0707.
Proceeds from this year’s Antiques Show and Sale will be used to support the Museum’s educational outreach programs. Event chairs are Teryl Viner and Shirley Weissenborn. Event Sponsors are the Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club Community and Mr. and Mrs. William C. Buck.
Show hours will be 10 am-5 pm on January 11 and 12 and 10 am – 4 pm on January 13. A $10 ticket includes unlimited re-entry throughout the show.
