THE SHAKE GET PLAYED: DEBUT MUSIC VIDEO HITS 1,000 PLAYS IN TWO WEEKS
Just two week after its release, THE SHAKE’s debut music video for “Manic Boogie” has hit 1,000 unique You Tube plays. The news comes after a well attended label showcase in New York City on October 27.
[USPRwire, Thu Nov 01 2007] Just two week after its release, THE SHAKE’s debut music video for “Manic Boogie” has hit 1,000 unique You Tube plays, surpassing the band’s expectations. Lead guitarist Eliad Shapiro says “We all had high expectations for this video but to hit 1,000 plays in just two weeks is really exciting!”
The video, brainchild of director Powel Weaver and filmed at Context Studios in Brooklyn, features an artfully conceived and well executed live performance, ultimately yielding a fantastic product. The news comes after a well attended label showcase in New York City on October 27. Rumor has it Rolling Stone Magazine and more than one A&R executive was on hand to see THE SHAKE’s throwback rock and roll fun. The Shake’s performance, as usual, was as sincere as it was energetic and nearly flawless. Lead singer Jon Merkin says of their show: “We want to entertain both our current and prospective fans and for a show like this one, we let it all hang out.” The set list was based around the band’s debut CD Kick It but included tracks from their as-yet untitled upcoming release. The Shake is currently in the studio tracking the rest of the album set for release in spring 2008.
