Dish Network Plans to Release New Packages for Sports Fans in Coming Week

As Dish Network continues to make these new incentives available to the public more and more cable customers are making the switch to Dish Network. After speaking to some of these customers their reasons for switching all seem to be similar. All of the customers were switching for the sole fact that Dish Network provides them with free upgrades that cable does not currently provide them with.

[USPRwire, Thu Jul 02 2009] According to representatives from Dish Network, the company plans on releasing an array of new packages and incentives for die hard sports fans. Representatives have stated that these packages are going to provide people with several different channels that provide world class sports coverage. Some of the channels that are going to be included in these new packages include ESPN Game Day, NHL on Ice, and NBA League Pass. Dish Network has also stated that they will be offering many new incentives to make these sports packages even more enticing.

One of Dish Network’s major strategies is going to be to provide customers with a free upgrade to high definition television. This company knows how important high definition is to people that like to watch sports. As a result, the company hopes to steal subscribers away from cable. New Dish Network subscribers are not even going to be forced to pay an upgrade fee for their HDTV equipment. This is obviously a direct marketing strategy against cable who forces their customers to pay a small installation fee for HDTV equipment.

The head of sales at Dish Network has even stated that they are trying to market towards fans that love sports specifically. One of the ways that they are going about this is by providing new subscribers with no additional charge for a digital video recording device. A digital video recording device allows someone to pause, fast forward, and even rewind live sporting events and television with their remote. This allows you to rewind exciting plays that took place in the game and watch them over and over again. A digital video recording also allows people to record sporting events to watch them at a later time.

On top of that, it seems that Dish Network charges slightly less for basic service.

One major benefit of switching to Dish Network that many of these customers sited was being able to get service on an additional television for free. Dish Network subscribers do not have to pay any additional money at the end of each month if they want to get service on a second television in their home. On the other hand, cable customers are being forced to pay a few extra bucks if they want service on a second television. It seems that the main reason for people signing up for Dish Network is the free upgrades that they have decided to provide their customers with.

Dish Network representatives have stated that they have been constantly looking for new ways that they can provide their customers with a way to save money. As it seems, this effort is paying off for the company in that thousands of people in the tri-state area and other parts of the country have decided to make the switch. Time will only tell if Dish Network’s current success continues down the line.
