The Art Institutes Announce the 2010 Storytellers Photography Competition

If you’ve ever thought about channeling your talent into a career in photography, this is the opportunity to get the creative education you need. The Art Institutes schools are pleased to announce sponsorship of The Art Institutes Storytellers Photography Competition 2010. The competition is a chance to put yourself in the running to earn a scholarship in an amount up to $40,000.
The Art Institutes Storytellers Photography Competition 2010 is open to high school seniors graduating in 2010 and high school graduates in the U.S. and provides a chance to earn a photography scholarship to one of The Art Institutes schools offering a photography program.
“The Art Institutes created the Storytellers Photography Competition to encourage and reward creative thinkers who have an eye for photography, providing them with a scholarship opportunity to pursue an education at one of our schools,” said John Mazzoni, President, The Art Institutes.
The competition consists of two categories (i) for high seniors graduating in 2010 (ii) for high school graduates. The grand prize winner in the high school senior category earns up to a $40,000 scholarship to an Art Institutes school. The grand prize winner in the high school graduate category earns a $10,000 scholarship to one of The Art Institutes schools.
Entrants are asked to submit eight original photographs that tell a story on a single theme, a 500-1,000 word artist statement describing the entry and a high school transcript demonstrating a GPA or 2.0 or higher or proof of high school graduation.
