Ms. Dow has an extensive background in photographic retouching and a natural flair for color and composition. She started Knower Originals, she says, “Because I wanted something special to place on my mantel, one Christmas, and I crafted an illustrated design of my family tree. Everyone who saw it loved it, people requested them and I started getting commissions from friends…”

To order a Knower Original Family Frame, customers fill out a brief form listing family information as well as style and theme preferences from an expansive range of choices. The finished product is then created to enhance the interior design of any room—from historical antique to sleek contemporary; from refined traditional to country casual.
To maximize a Knower Original, any Family Frame may also be ordered as a four-season or 12-month system, in which several different palettes reflecting seasonal or monthly themes can be popped in and out of the exterior frame.
