Lingobit Exractor 1.1: Extract hard-coded strings with no effort

New tool to prepare software for localization

[USPRwire, Sun Feb 07 2010] Lingobit Technologies, the world's leading provider of localization software, announced the launch of Lingobit Extractor 1.1, a hardcoded string extraction tool. This updated version is designed to radically simplify the way in which program code is prepared for localization.

"It often happens that your program code contains a lot of string constants that are used in user interface." says Michael Trent, marketing manager at Lingobit Technologies. "It doesn't bother you until you need to localize your product. At this point you will have to move all string constants to resource files and it can be a really huge task if you do it manually."

Lingobit Extractor works by automatically extracting hardcoded strings from the source code to resource files, making the software ready for localization. It replaces text constants with a code template that loads them from the resources and creates resource files with extracted strings. There are a lot of configuration options so you can control every stage of extraction process. Furthermore, you can preview all changes in the source code and edit extracted strings in the resource table. Currently, Lingobit Extractor supports C, C++, Java, C#, Visual Basic.NET, Delphi and Pascal languages.

This new tool will be very useful for software developers, localization agencies and other companies that face internationalization challenges.
