IDAutomation.com announces the updated release of their Java Barcode Component Package
IDAutomation.com, Inc. announces major performance enhancements update to the Java Barcode Packages and new functionality to support QR Code in the Java 2D Barcode Package.
[USPRwire, Fri Nov 27 2009] IDAutomation.com, Inc. announces a major update to its Java Barcode Packages, which now includes new functionality to support QR Code in the Java 2D Barcode Package. QR-Code, based on the ISO/IEC 18004:2006 standard, is a very efficient, 2D barcode symbology that uses a small area of square modules with a unique perimeter pattern, which helps the barcode scanner determine cell locations and decode the QR-Code symbol. Characters, numbers, text and actual bytes of data may be encoded, including Unicode characters and photos. Additional updates to the Java Packages include performance enhancements where parentheses are now recognized as a FNC1 character when apply tilde is set to true making it easier to comply with GS1 standards, the ability to manually select the start character for Code 128 and the ability to set the size, in pixels, of the saved image.
The JavaBeans, Applets, Servlets and Class Libraries in this package may be used on any platform with a Java Virtual Machine, including Windows, LINUX, MacOS, Solaris, HP/UX, AS/400 and OS/390 to integrate automated bar coding into internet applications, websites or custom Java applications. Website designers will find the barcode servlets and applets efficient and easy to use. The servlets and applets require no programming and may be inserted in dynamic HTML with a simple IMG or Applet tag. All popular barcode types are supported including PDF417, Code 39, Code 128, UCC128, Interleaved 2 of 5, UPC, EAN, POSTNET, USPS Intelligent Mail, DataMatrix, QR Code, Aztec and MaxiCode. Barcode Servlets are the best components to use for barcoding on the Internet because they are compatible with all operating systems and browsers.
