Third Book Project Winner Announced

The Community Book Project, created by bookhitch.com, is a magnificent opportunity for talented individuals to display their writing prowess. Individuals have the ability to write the next chapter of the book and the public determines the winning entry. All profits received from the sale of the book will be donated to non-profit educational organizations working to improve literacy and the lives of young adults.

[USPRwire, Fri Feb 09 2007] Shirley Cheng has been announced the author of the next chapter in bookhitch’s Community Book Project. Ms. Cheng, a blind and physically disabled author born with severe juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, has inspired individuals from across the globe through her remarkable work. The Community Book Project was started in October 2006, after celebrated author, Anne K. Edwards’s first chapter was posted on bookhitch.com. There were numerous submissions for the third chapter, and the public voted on the outcome of the next chapter in the saga. Ms. Cheng’s chapter entry won the final vote.

The Community Book Project is an innovative and unique endeavor brought about to exhibit the work of talented writers from various genres and backgrounds. The project is also an opportunity for novices to publish their first short-story or for experienced authors to challenge themselves and use their imaginations. Chapters one, two, and three can be accessed via our website on the Community Book Project page. It is now up to the public to decide how the novel will evolve!
