First, African American Kids Entrepreneur Radio Show to Premiere on Blogtalkradio.com
[USPRwire, Sun Nov 18 2007] 12 year-old Georgia youth Jerry and his 8 year-old brother, RJ ("Spidey Boy" ) are trail blazers. Together they will launch Junior Entrepreneurs on the Move on JEOTM Radio Saturday, November 17, at 6 PM EST. JEOTM was created to foster the entrepreneurial spirit in young people. Each show will address viable skills and business concepts which empower youth, and encourage financial independence.
The duo will offer other junior entrepreneurs on the move a platform to share their business ideas. Guests of the show will also share their tips for success with listeners. "Adults say that we absorb so much when we are young." Jerry explained. "So that's what we are trying to do."
"As many as 1 in 4 kindergartners demonstrate entrepreneurial qualities such as risk-taking, creative problem-solving abilities, and high internal motivation to succeed," stated Marilyn Kourilsky, former Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. "Our children are never too young to be encouraged to create, develop, and own their own business."
Jerry and Spidey Boy's motto is "Business is Kids Play." That's because the economic buying power of the "Tween" market (youth aged 8 - 14) is 51 billion dollars. Additionally, parents and family members spent 170 billion dollars on the tweens. The total amount spent by both groups was 225 billion dollars in 2006.
JEOTM Radio is hosted online by blogtalkradio.com and is scheduled to air live on November 17, 2007 at 6 PM EST online. For additional information, visit http://www.blogtalkradio.com/jeotm
