WHAT: The largest employers’ association in the state, Capital Associated Industries, Inc. (CAI), will host a one-day training program on telecommuting, Establishing and Managing a Remote Workforce. The program is aimed at directors, managers, supervisors, and HR professionals, and will focus on helping them develop or improve their companies’ telecommuting policies and procedures.
Participants will learn how to benefit from and effectively manage a remote workforce. They will also learn the legal liabilities and safety issues that come with implementing a telecommuting program. The program will specifically cover how to effectively track remote workers’ time and pay, measure performance, and monitor employee development.
Guest speakers include Jill Adams and Brandon Dempsey of SuiteCommute, LLC, a St. Louis-based consulting firm that specializes in planning, implementing and managing remote work and telecommuting programs.
