Online Foreign Exchange Trading: Real Money in a Virtual World

A look at the growing popularity of online trading versus the tradition way.

[USPRwire, Thu Dec 14 2006] Who in their right mind would exchange real money for virtual cash? Apparently, plenty of forex traders would.

A 2006 study by the NPD Group found that forex traders are more willing to trade online compared to the more tradition way of trading through a broker and a telephone call than they were in 2004. NPD, which provides consumer and retail information, reported in its study, online forex trading is also attracting new traders who have never heard of making a telephone call to a broker .

The trend to trade online has taken hold, and millions of traders around the world will log on and place trades via their online self directed brokerage web site. In fact online forex trading is expected to grow by over 400% in the next five years. In 2005, forex traders invested more than $1 trillion world wide, according to a recent BBC report.

“It’s no different than running your own business,” said Mark MacKay, owner of http://www.forex-trading-systems.us “For traders; this is their hobby, their passion. They have really become caught up in the community that is so prevalent in the forex sites.

One of the things that really makes online forex trading so welcoming is the forums that traders flock to. Players talk about their current trades, tips, predictions, current events and share in the excitement when a fellow forex trader makes a profitable trade.

But with the popularity of online forex trading, there’s bound to be controversy. The issue of fraud is one of them. Their have been reports that fake forex trading sites have been setup to get traders to deposit cash with no intention of ever placing trades. This is where MacKay’s site http://www.forex-trading-systems.us comes in. They have carefully reviewed and recommend only ethical online forex trading sites that have proven track records with a history of satisfied traders.
