John’s Automotive Care Wins Prestigious AAA Quality Service Award; One of Only 13 San Diego Winners
John’s Automotive Care – an innovative San Diego-based auto repair shop - is thrilled to receive the prestigious AAA Approved Auto Repair Quality Service Award.
[USPRwire, Sun May 23 2010] John’s Automotive Care – an innovative San Diego-based auto repair shop - is thrilled to receive the prestigious AAA Approved Auto Repair Quality Service Award for the second time. The award was given to only 54 vehicle repair shops from a pool of nearly 650 eligible facilities in the Southern California region, including only 13 shops in the San Diego area.
To win the Quality Service Award, auto repair shops must meet stringent Auto Club standards for a consecutive two-year period. Additionally, shops must have no more than one complaint from an Auto Club member, a 99 percent customer satisfaction rating during two consecutive surveys, and have no facility deficiencies during the Auto Club’s detailed annual shop inspections or bimonthly shop reviews, according to AAA.
“This Quality Service Award means a lot to our shop,” said John’s Automotive Care owner John Eppstein. “We work hard to make sure that we not only give excellent care to our customers’ cars, but also to our customers themselves. Customer service is just as important to us as any multi-point car inspection or oil change.”
John’s Automotive Care is only one of about 24 current award winners that have received the award multiple times. John credits his company’s customer service success, in part, to the innovative programs his business has established to help “pamper” their customers. This includes a Customer of the Month program through which the shop randomly selects a customer to win a $50 spa gift certificate and custom floral arrangement, as well as the company’s sister program with Timeless Salon & Day Spa.
“Through our unique arrangement with Timeless Salon and Day Spa, we arrange for our customers to be shuttled to the spa while they are waiting for their car repairs,” said Eppstein. “We listened to our customers when they told us that waiting at an auto shop for car work to be completed can be a nuisance and dig into their schedules. Like our customers, we value our free time just as much as they do, so we came up with the idea to help our customers get pampered at the spa while they wait for their car services to be complete.”
John’s Automotive Care is also one of a handful of certified-green auto repair facilities in the San Diego area, proving that the company not only cares about the quality of its auto care and customer service, but also its impact on the environment.
