[USPRwire, Sat Feb 28 2009] Linda Harrill, president and CEO of Communities In Schools of North Carolina (CISNC) (www.cisnc.org), has announced that the organization is partnering with Johnson Automotive to hold a reverse raffle to benefit CISNC. Through the partnership, CISNC and Johnson Automotive will sell a maximum of 1,000 raffle tickets at $100 each for a new 2009 Lexus IS250 Sedan provided by Johnson Automotive. From all of the tickets sold, 25 will be chosen at random and invited to a celebratory event on Thursday, May 21 at Johnson Lexus of Raleigh, located at 5839 Capital Blvd. During the event, a reverse raffle will take place to narrow down the field until one ticket remains. That ticket holder will win the Lexus IS250. All proceeds will benefit CISNC. For more information, to purchase a raffle ticket or for official contest rules, please visit www.cisnc.org, www.johnsonlexus.com, or contact Margot Murphy at (800) 849-8881 or mmurphy@cisnc.org.

Quotes:
“We are pleased to partner with Johnson Automotive,” said Harrill. “With their generous, community-minded support, we expect this not only to be an exciting and enjoyable event, but it will hopefully raise the public’s awareness of the very serious dropout problem in our state. Communities In Schools is THE answer to this very grave problem as there is now scientific research that it is the ONLY dropout prevention program in North Carolina proven to increase graduation rates, graduating students on time with a standard high school diploma.”
