The New England Direct Marketing Association announces Winners at the 28th Annual Award Show


The NEDMA Annual Awards event honored creative excellence and innovation in eight categories that include print ads, direct mail, catalog, interactive, integrated media campaigns and DM


[USPRwire, Sat Jun 13 2009] The Roxy was vibrating with excitement as the region’s winning companies and agencies were called to the stage to accept their 2009 New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) awards. The NEDMA Annual Awards event honored creative excellence and innovation in eight categories that include print ads, direct mail, catalog, interactive, integrated media campaigns and DM on a shoestring. Bruce McMeekin, founder of BKM Marketing and NEDMA vice president, shared the honor of announcing this year’s winners with Bob Rotchford, past NEDMA president.

“Submissions this year reached a new level of creativity,” noted McMeekin. “In theses times of smarter budgets and stretched resources, standing out from the crowd and generating results is more important that ever. It was obvious during the judging process that agencies and companies alike had to work harder to achieve their goals.”

Winners were selected from a pool of over 350 submissions. The Other Agency received three awards, including the Best of Show for its Liberty Mutual “Holes” business-to-business campaign. Other top winners included LW Robbins Associates with 15 awards, B Direct Marketing with 12 awards, Overdrive Interactive with 10 awards, DaVinci Direct with 9 awards and Winsper with 8 awards.

Email marketing solutions provider Blue Sky Factory was the premier event sponsor for the second year in a row. As part of their promotion, Blue Sky Factory ran live text messaging to show attendees via their cell phones—which instructed the crowd to do everything from blowing bubbles to chanting slurs about the New York Yankees when a live feed of the game showed on the five video screens.
