Ragsdale Liggett Director Tapped For Meredith College Board

The Meredith Fund is the annual, unrestricted giving program of Meredith College. It provides unrestricted funds that allow the college to address the most urgent needs on campus, such as student aid, faculty development and residence hall maintenance. The board is the advisory body of the fund, supporting all aspects of the campus.
At Ragsdale Liggett, Piercy focuses on lobbying on behalf of the firm’s clients, as well as providing consulting services related to government agency matters. Prior to joining Ragsdale Liggett, Piercy owned and operated a Triangle lobbying and consulting firm for 11 years. She has worked on the staff of United States Senator Terry Sanford, served as assistant secretary in the North Carolina Department of Administration, and an entrepreneurial development specialist for the North Carolina Department of Commerce for Governor James B. Hunt Jr. She was appointed by Governor Hunt to a four-year term on the North Carolina Employment Security Commission. Lisa has more than twenty years of government relations experience.
Originally from Boiling Springs, N.C., Piercy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and French from Meredith College and resides in Raleigh.
