DirectRooms.com – The delirious tapping of Riverdance comes to Brisbane on 13 April 2011

DirectRooms.com highlights that the billion dollar selling production of Riverdance will be hitting Brisbane to entertain fans with displays of spectacular dancing combined with traditional Irish music and songs.

[USPRwire, Wed Mar 09 2011] For an exclusive night on 13th April 2011, Riverdance will be performed at the QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane featuring up to 31 performers dancing in unison. These consist of the Riverdance Irish Troupe and Irish musicians playing the award winning scores written by Bill Whelan.

The success of Riverdance is such that an estimated 22 million people have gone to see the productions across 300 different stages, in 32 countries and on four continents. This has led to sales topping $1.6 billion around the world, all from a seven-minute production that was originally performed during an interval of 1994’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The overall story of the show tells of the Irish emigrating to America but also re-enacts scenes from the war and Ireland’s development as a nation. All of these scenes are portrayed through Irish stepdance which features unbelievable timing as the dancers tap dance through finely choreographed moves to the sound of Irish favourite’s such as the fiddle, flute and even bagpipes.

Billed as another potential sell out tour the likelihood of finding hotel Brisbane near to the show’s venue is also set to be limited.
