A sale featuring the self-taught and international folk art collection of renowned Hollywood film director Jonathan Demme (“Silence of the Lambs,” “Philadelphia”) will be held Saturday, November 10, by Slotin Auction. The sale has a start time of 10 a.m., and will be held in Buford, Ga., north of Atlanta.

Stevens Auction Company will conclude the fall season with a pair of major estate sales, one slated for Saturday, October 20, beginning at 10 a.m., the other for Saturday, November 3, with an identical start time. Previews will be held the day before each sale, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Both sales will be held at Stevens' showroom, at 609 No. Meridian Street in Aberdeen, Miss.
